A teacher is filmed by a student while making negative comments about Russia’s war of aggression during a break. She is forced to leave her country and applies for asylum in Germany. In Berlin, she reconstructs the events with her new class and engages them in a discussion about the school as a venue for political influence, accompanied by filmmaker Yulia Lokshina. Lokshina also edits together documents and video footage from Russia. Her film shifts effortlessly between essay and documentary observation, breaking down propaganda into the key situations in which attitudes come to the fore.
