Looking Back to the Future – Anniversary Program for the 40th Kassel Dokfest

On the occasion of its anniversary, the Kassel Dokfest looks forward on the one hand and speculates on future developments in media and image production. On the other hand, it looks back into festival history. Central to this is a consultation of the extensive archive from 40 years of the Kassel Dokfest. The result is a special anniversary program that invites you to think, discuss and interact. >>

Monitoring: This Image Will Become Important Later - Ausstellung für Medieninstallationen

For 33 years, the media art exhibition Monitoring has been an integral part of the Kassel Dokfest. During this time, 457 installations have been exhibited, expanding the cinematographic space of the festival with works that go beyond the conventional presentation form of the cinema screen. >>
