Renate
Renate Welsh, born in 1937, is one of the most influential authors of Austrian children's and young adult literature. Starting with her childhood full of guilt, the film follows her eventful life, which remains committed to this day. Together with Christine Nöstlinger and others, she wrote language craft books for schoolchildren. She guided homeless people and mountain farmers to find their own voices in writing workshops. Until a stroke robbed her of her own voice. A touching portrait of an extraordinary writer who overcomes her own and others' speechlessness.
