At the age of 18, filmmaker Lina Vdovîi left her family and her home country, the Republic of Moldova. When she receives a video from her desperate father one day, showing injuries to his upper body, she travels to him with her boyfriend. There she discovers that he has been exploited as an agricultural worker in Italy, and she wants to help him publicize the intolerable conditions. But her own wounds from the past are reopened: she, her sisters and her mother were beaten by their father for years. Lina summons the courage to confront her father with her past experiences of violence.
