For this film, Göran Hugo Olsson (“The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975”, “Concerning Violence”) meticulously examined one of the world’s largest TV archives on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Together with his team, he assembled countless analog reels from broadcast formats into a monumental essay on the journalistic treatment of the origins and escalation spirals of the conflict. The past is examined in order to reflect on the present and perhaps the future – and above all to show what is being lost in today’s increasingly short-lived public sphere: the contradictory and the complicated.
