(BALi, KulturBahnhof Kassel)

Four films return to images and sounds that have survived censorship and imprisonment. Found footage imagines a possible punk ban; a family gathering is interrupted by a search for forbidden VHS tapes. Elsewhere, friends revisit the aftermath of prison, while two filmmakers look again at their footage from Papua from different perspectives. The material does more than record the past. Its meaning shifts with those who kept it, those who appear in it and those who can look at it now. (Boris Hadžija, Hoda Taheri)
