Our Time Will Come

Siaka comes from Gambia, Victoria from Austria. OUR TIME WILL COME tells the story of the two who experience ups and downs together. After years in exile, Siaka is exhausted and feels an urgent need to share his experiences of hardship, discrimination, and racism to give visibility to this lived reality. The film offers insights into external obstacles such as Siaka's residence status, the couple’s employment situation, and everday racism. But we also gain an honest look at their relationship, the challenges of parenthood, and two families of origin – African and European – that bring up issues to be confronted.
