Blue – A Black European Tale
As a teenager, Black Salzburg musician Mwita Mataro simply wanted to look like his peers. Today, he fights against discrimination in Austria, which is often excluded from social discourse, both in his everyday life and through his art. Through an animation project featuring six Black children, centered around the fantasy world of Greenland and the character “Blue Kid,” as well as conversations with a wide variety of Black personalities, Mataro succeeds in taking a multifaceted approach to the trauma of everyday racism.
