Antoñita Singla, a young woman born in the Romani slums of Barcelona, was considered the best flamenco dancer in the world in the 1960s. As a teenager, she revolutionised traditional dance, was painted by Dalí and celebrated in artistic circles. One of the first stops on her European tour was Frankfurt, where she won the hearts of the German people. That she was deaf is as unbelievable as her sudden disappearance, which is why no one knows her name today. The filmmaker, fascinated by countless photos and film footage, sets out to find her.
