The film DAS KOMBINAT accompanies Simon, Daniel and their fellow workers for 9 years in the field, in the office, sorting and delivering their harvest. From an idealistic idea grows a company that produces organic vegetables and fruit in a socially and ecologically responsible way. In the face of climate change and the associated social and ecological challenges, the Kartoffelkombinat in the outskirts of Munich provides the urgently needed impetus to adapt our way of life. Movingly, the film shows the difficulties of this process, as well as the serendipity of making it together. (Christina Zimmermann)
