Yesterday evening the 38th Kassel Dokfest opened again in the Gloria Kino. The opening films were the short film SOUP by Karolin Twiddy and the feature film THE MUSHROOM SPEAKS by Marion Neumann.
Both films can be seen in the festival program. THE MUSHROOM SPEAKS will be shown today on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in Filmladen cinema and 90 minutes after the screening it is available for streaming on DokfestOnline for 6 days! SOUP runs on Thursday, November 18th in the short film program ALTLASTEN at 6 p.m. in the BALi cinema and can then also be streamed on DokfestOnline.
Today at 8 p.m. the media art exhibition Monitoring will open its doors in the Kasseler Kunstverein. In addition to the Kasseler Kunstverein in the Fridericianum, the exhibition venues are ruruHaus, the foyer of the BALi cinema, Kubatur, Stellwerk and the Südflügel in KulturBahnhof.
The exhibition runs from 17.-21. November and the admission is free of charge! The special exhibition Débordements | Übergänge from students of the École Supérieure d’Art Pays Basque (Bayonne-Biarritz, France) and the Film and Moving Image class of the Kassel Art College opened at 9 p.m. in the ruruHaus.
